Major US Companies Pledge to Continue Expanding and Seeking Investment Opportunities in Cambodia’s Potential Sectors
On the morning of 2 December 2025 at the Peace Palace, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from His Excellency Ted Osius (Retired US Ambassador), Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of the US-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC)
During the meeting, H.E. Ted Osius expressed his deep gratitude to Samdech Borvor Thipadei for allowing him and the delegation to pay a courtesy call. He also thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia and all relevant ministries and institutions for consistently providing close support and collaboration to US-ABC. His Excellency highly appreciated the commitment of Cambodia’s ministries and institutions to openly and honestly address various issues and requests raised by companies investing in Cambodia. H.E. Ted Osius further expressed optimism regarding Samdech Borvor Thipadei’s leadership and praised the organisation of the Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF), describing it as a vital forum for investors and the private sector.
On this occasion, members of the delegation from several US investing companies expressed their profound gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia for its continued support, which has enabled their business success. They also briefed Samdech Borvor Thipadei on the progress of their operations in Cambodia. At the same time, the delegation expressed their intention to expand their investment and explore new investment opportunities in several potential sectors, including healthcare, tourism and hotel services, digital technology, banking and finance, infrastructure, smart cities, automotive, and insurance. Furthermore, representatives of the companies reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with the Royal Government of Cambodia to further expand investment and seek new opportunities, thereby contributing to the implementation of the Royal Government’s Pentagonal Strategy for the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly.
In response, Samdech Borvor Thipadei warmly welcomed H.E. Ted Osius and the delegation for organising this business mission and expressed appreciation to US businesspeople who have shown confidence by investing in Cambodia. He emphasised that such activities have significantly contributed to strengthening Cambodia-US bilateral relations as well as supporting the growth of Cambodia’s business sector.
Samdech Borvor Thipadei also highlighted the key policies, strategies, and mechanisms established to encourage and support the success of investors currently operating in Cambodia. At the same time, he underscored the continued organisation of the Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF) as an essential mechanism to address the challenges and requests of the private sector. He encouraged all investing companies to continue strengthening collaboration with Cambodian ministries and institutions and to further increase their investment in Cambodia.
