(4) Three major factors why CPP has received overwhelming people’s supports
The Cambodian People’s Party has saved the lives of the people many times. Among them, there are three major events. Firstly, the liberation from the genocidal regime of Pol Pot. (8) Constitutional amendment to revoke citizenship – if one conspires with foreign countries against Cambodian interests, then one should be worried
Lately, there are rumors outside as (we) are planning to amend the (Constitution) to revoke citizenship from any Cambodian who opposes Cambodian interests. If you are a patriot and are determined to your last breath not to act against Cambodian interests, please do not worry. But if you have a plan to conspire with a foreign country to destroy Cambodian interests, then you should be. And, if you are like that, you should not remain a Cambodian. We are fighting to defend our territory from other states/countries and some are causing national destruction. I will not talk about that.
Let the law works. Let us just do a little research. In the world, (out of) 195 countries that are members of the United Nations, 150 of them, including 18 countries in the European Union, including the UK, have laws to revoke citizenship […] So, it is not just Cambodia. This is a matter of procedure. Going forward, I will let the law work. I will not interfere, but the principle is that there will be no harm to citizens who truly love the nation. Those who do not conspire with a foreign country to seriously destroy national interests, have no reason to worry […] Building and developing a country requires consensus. Different views are normal. It’s okay to have different policies, but don’t do anything that destroys the nation, especially don’t conspire with foreigners to do that […]
(9) Economic master plan for Kompong Thom to create more jobs and bring benefits into province for people’s livelihoods to flourish is underway
For the past two years in this new term, we have set many goals for the irrigation system, continuing from the previous term and preparing new ones[…] His Excellency the Provincial Governor, (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in Charge of the Office of Council of Ministers) His Excellency Vongsey Vissoth, who is an economist, came to see me and talked about the economic master plan (for Kompong Thom). Economists look at a piece of land, not at how much it can be sold for. They look at how much it can be transformed into a place to create jobs. How much benefit can it bring into the province […] So, (they are looking at) investing to build a road to increase the economy in that place, so that the people’s livelihoods can flourish.
Building canals is investing assets for the common good, so that the people’s economy can grow […] I have given the working groups a step-by-step test to prepare a cashew development strategy by implementing concrete operations, using Kampong Thom as a starting point […] I hope that one day Cambodia will become the king of cashews and Kampong Thom province will be a core producer (leading to better livelihoods for farmers here) […] In addition, His Excellency Nuon Pharath and HE Vongsey Vissoth have put together projects to try and attract foreign investments in aquaculture and other things in (the province) will increase the income of Kampong Thom people even more […]

Now we are pushing agroindustry and some centers to the west zone, and here in Kompong Thom for cashews. Why did we choose Kampong Thom? It is in the center and near the waterway that will connect with the Funan Canal in the future. It can connect the waterway to Poipet. We are planning to add more canals and railways. This is a big place. It is also near to Kampong Chhnang. People can cross the bridge that we will build and go to Kampong Laeng, and on to national road No. 10 and beyond […] In this regard, we are pushing for equitable, efficient, and sustainable development […]
