Cambodian embassy in China promotes global Girl Guides conference via giant Beijing screen

Officials from the Royal Embassy of Cambodia to China launched a major multimedia promotional campaign in Beijing yesterday, broadcasting a welcome video on a giant LED screen to greet arriving global delegates.

The initiative highlights Cambodia’s final preparations to host the 39th World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) World Conference alongside the 42nd Annual Meeting of The Olave Baden-Powell Society.

The international gatherings run in Siem Reap province from June 14–19 under the theme “We See, We Care, We Act.”

Through the promotional footage broadcast, the embassy showcases the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage, ancient civilisation, and stable socio-economic environment. Officials aim to reinforce international confidence in Cambodia’s capacity to manage large-scale summits while boosting long-term tourism potential.

As the host nation, Cambodia expects to receive hundreds of young female leaders for the global policy dialogue. Diplomatic staff confirms that international engagement programmes now drive a substantial percentage of the embassy’s ongoing cultural outreach efforts in China.
