Selfie Travel Asia Expresses Interest in Resuming Passenger Flights between Astana and Sihanoukville

On the afternoon of 17 October 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Mr Kursad Bakir, Founder and Chairman of Selfie Travel Asia, on the occasion of Samdech Thipadei’s official visit to Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, from 16 to 17 October 2026.

During the meeting, the Chief Executive Officer expressed his profound gratitude to Samdech Thipadei for receiving him and his delegation. He briefed Samdech Thipadei on the company’s core business activities in aviation and passenger transport, highlighting its previous flight route connecting Astana and Sihanoukville, which was suspended in 2024. He stated that the company intended to resume the route and sought the Royal Government of Cambodia’s support for its relaunch.

In response, Samdech Thipadei welcomed the initiative and encouraged the company to hold direct discussions with Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism, whose Minister was also present at the meeting. He recommended that the company develop attractive and competitive packaged tourist products.
