On the morning of 30 July 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Mr. Edouard GEORGE, President of Phoenix Voyages Group Limited, at the Peace Palace.
During the meeting, the President respectfully informed Samdech Thipadei of the company’s plans to organise the 10th edition of the Angkor Ultra Trail, scheduled for January 2027. The event will also commemorate the 10th anniversary of the race in Cambodia. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Royal Government and the relevant ministries and institutions for their steadfast support of the Angkor Ultra Trail over the years. He further shared the company’s plans to organise various sporting and other events to contribute to the development of Cambodia’s tourism sector, while outlining its business operations and plans to expand its investments in Cambodia. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to continuing its cooperation with the relevant ministries and institutions to promote Cambodian tourism and culture globally, with the aim of attracting more international tourists to Cambodia.
In response, Samdech Thipadei commended and highly valued the company’s longstanding commitment to promoting Cambodia’s tourism sector and culture through the successful organisation of successive editions of the Angkor Ultra Trail. He also thanked the company for its continued confidence in Cambodia, as reflected in its ongoing investment and plans to expand its business operations in the country. Furthermore, Samdech Thipadei highlighted the Royal Government’s implementation of targeted policies and measures to promote Cambodian tourism, including ensuring the safety and security of tourists, reducing travel costs, enhancing service quality, and organising sporting events, exhibitions, and other activities to complement Cambodia’s existing attractions, such as its ancient temples and rich cultural heritage.
