CCCC Expresses Intent to Expand Further Investment in Cambodia

On the morning of 10 April 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Mr Song Hailiang, Chairman of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, the Chairman of CCCC expressed his deep gratitude to Samdech Thipadei for taking time from his busy schedule to receive him and his delegation for a courtesy call and discussion. He briefed Samdech Thipadei on the company’s business operations in Cambodia and globally. He also thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia, as well as relevant ministries and institutions, for their consistent support and excellent co-operation, which have contributed to the successful implementation of the company’s various projects in Cambodia. The Chairman reaffirmed the company’s firm commitment to completing its projects in Cambodia as planned, ensuring quality and environmental and social responsibility. Furthermore, he informed Samdech Thipadei of the company’s intention to explore additional investment opportunities in several new sectors, including clean energy, waste-to-energy management, water treatment systems, and the development of a digital ecosystem.

In response, Samdech Thipadei welcomed the Chairman and his delegation and spoke highly of the company’s successful business operations. He commended the company for its significant contributions to infrastructure development in Cambodia. Samdech Thipadei emphasised that infrastructure development serves as the “backbone” of national economic growth, a sector to which the Royal Government of Cambodia attaches high priority and has introduced numerous policies. He also welcomed the company’s interest in expanding investment across various sectors in Cambodia.

Before concluding, Samdech Thipadei encouraged the company to continue focusing on the implementation of its existing projects to ensure their timely completion, thereby further contributing to Cambodia’s socio-economic development.
