Prime Minister Calls for Unity and Firm Action Against Cybercrime
Phnom Penh, January 13, 2026 –Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has urged all Cambodians to strengthen national unity and solidarity amid current national challenges, stressing that the country’s hardships must be transformed into collective strength.
In a message posted on his official social media platforms this evening, the Premier said that despite acts of aggression against Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, he has witnessed strong unity, patriotism, and determination among the Cambodian people to build a stronger nation. He emphasised that national difficulties are shared by all citizens and called for collective efforts to defend the motherland and enhance national resilience.
Samdech Thipadei reaffirmed that security, public order, and crime prevention remain top priorities of the Royal Government to ensure peaceful living for the people. He highlighted the fight against technology-based fraud as an urgent concern due to its serious social impact and transnational nature.
He noted that the Royal Government, from the Sixth to the Seventh Legislature of the National Assembly, has implemented firm and decisive measures against cybercrime, producing positive results. The Prime Minister stressed that combating crime is a deliberate political priority, reflecting Cambodia’s commitment to addressing transnational criminal threats.
The Prime Minister called on citizens, civil servants, local authorities, and law enforcement agencies to unite in a shared national effort to eradicate cyber fraud and uphold Cambodia’s good reputation on the international stage. -AKP-
