Czech Republic Ambassador Pledges to Further Promote and Advance Czech-Cambodia Relations and Cooperation
On the morning of 2 December 2025, at the Peace Palace, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Her Excellency Markéta Kolc Hájková, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
During the meeting, Her Excellency the Ambassador expressed her sincere appreciation to Samdech Borvor Thipadei for taking the time out of his busy schedule to receive her and her delegation. She highlighted the long-standing friendship and excellent cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Cambodia. Her Excellency further informed Samdech Borvor Thipadei that the year 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, and she will consider submitting a proposal to organize a meaningful celebration to commemorate this milestone. She reaffirmed her strong commitment to promoting and advancing Czech-Cambodia bilateral relations and cooperation.
In response, Samdech Borvor Thipadei warmly welcomed and congratulated Her Excellency on her appointment as the Ambassador to Cambodia. He expressed strong confidence that, during her diplomatic tenure, Cambodia–Czech relations and cooperation would continue to flourish.
Samdech Borvor Thipadei and Her Excellency the Ambassador also discussed ways to continue strengthening and expanding cooperation in key priority sectors, including education, healthcare, security and national defense, agriculture, tourism, infrastructure, and technology. Both sides agreed to further promote engagement between their private sectors to create more opportunities for trade and investment.
In conclusion, Samdech Borvor Thipadei encouraged Her Excellency the Ambassador to continue close collaboration with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions, and he extended his best wishes for her successful diplomatic mission in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
