Senate President has ‘cancelled all other appointments to come with the Prime Minister to command the armed forces to resist the invasion’

Hun Sen, President of the Senate of Cambodia, emphasized on his official social media account on the morning of December 8, 2025, that “All frontline forces must be patient because the invaders have been using all kinds of weapons to fire on us since Monday, last night, and this morning with the aim of drawing us into a response in order to destroy the ceasefire and the Cambodia-Thailand Declaration of Peace. ”

He added that “The red line to be responded to has already been set. Please, commanders at all levels, educate all the soldiers and officers to understand this.

Please, authorities at all levels strive to help people who have fled from dangerous areas to safer areas.

I cancelled all other appointments to come with the Prime Minister to command the armed forces to resist the invasion.”

In addition, the Senate President asked for understanding from people he had previously scheduled meetings with today and added that athletes who are going to the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand should participate in the competition as normal.
