Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and Togolese Diaspora of the Republic of Togo Congratulates Cambodia on Its Rapid Development in All Sectors

On the afternoon of March 20, 2025, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Professor Robert Dussey, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and Togolese Diaspora of the Republic of Togo, and his delegation at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister congratulated Cambodia on its rapid development across all sectors and its upcoming role as host of the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026. He expressed his support for Cambodia in organizing this summit successfully. The Minister also briefed the Prime Minister on the achievements of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Togo and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia. Additionally, he highlighted the fruitful results of his discussions with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions, exploring the feasibility and opportunities to expand cooperation and strengthen ties between the Chambers of Commerce of both countries.

In response, Samdech Borvor Thipadei welcomed the Minister and his delegation to Cambodia and expressed gratitude to the Government of Togo for supporting Cambodia in hosting the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026. He emphasized that the 15-year diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Togo have become increasingly active in recent years and highly valued the successful cooperation between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs. He emphasized that Cambodia and Togo have numerous potential sectors for expanding cooperation, including government-to-government relations, private sector collaborations, and fostering people-to-people connections.
