Cambodia and Azerbaijan to Further Strengthen and Expand Cooperation

On the afternoon of 13 October 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from His Excellency Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the occasion of Samdech Thipadei’s official visit to Azerbaijan and his attendance at the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, from 11 to 15 October 2026.

During the meeting, the Azerbaijani Minister of Defence expressed his pleasure at meeting Samdech Thipadei during his official visit to Azerbaijan and thanked him for attending the 7th CICA Summit.

In response, Samdech Thipadei expressed his profound gratitude to the Government and people of Azerbaijan for the warm hospitality extended to the Cambodian delegation. He also commended the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1994.
