Cambodia takes part in Asian Financial Forum 2026 in Hong Kong

Cambodia participated in the Asian Financial Forum 2026 on Monday, January 26, 2026, with Lim Lork Piseth, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce, representing the Kingdom, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

The high-level forum was presided over by John K.C. Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, and brought together senior government officials from around the world, leaders of the Hong Kong SAR, business executives, experts and representatives of major international financial institutions. Around 4,000 participants from 60 countries attended the event.

Held from January 26–27, 2026, the forum aimed to promote cooperation and deeper integration in the fields of finance, economics and international trade. Panel discussions focused on the global economic outlook, international trade dynamics, developments in the financial sector, and recent trends in international geopolitics.

On the sidelines of the forum, Lim Lork Piseth held a working lunch with senior Hong Kong officials, including Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR; Dr Peter Lam, Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board and former Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council; and Christopher Hui, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the Hong Kong SAR.

The discussions focused on strengthening relations and promoting mutual trade cooperation between Cambodia and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the statement said.

Cambodia’s participation in the forum underscores its engagement with regional and global economic platforms, as well as its efforts to enhance cooperation in trade and finance with key international partners.
