Iranian Ambassador Pledges to Further Strengthen Cooperation with Cambodia

On the morning of 10 September 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from His Excellency Akbar Ghasemi Ali Abadi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the relations between the two countries and reaffirmed his commitment to further promoting bilateral cooperation. He also expressed interest in exploring opportunities to expand cooperation across several key areas.

In response, Samdech Thipadei congratulated H.E. Akbar Ghasemi Ali Abadi on his appointment as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Cambodia. Samdech Thipadei noted the good relations between the two countries and expressed confidence that the Ambassador’s diplomatic mission would contribute to further advancing cooperation between the two countries. Furthermore, Samdech Thipadei welcomed the Ambassador’s commitment to seeking new opportunities to advance bilateral cooperation and encouraged him to engage in further discussions with Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
