Philippine President Marcos Jr. Arrives in Cambodia for State Visit

Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., President of the Philippines, accompanied by First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, arrived in Cambodia on September 8 for a State Visit from September 7 to 9.

During the visit, President Marcos Jr. is scheduled to meet with Acting Head of State Hun Sen and hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Hun Manet at the Peace Palace.

Marcos Jr. and both Cambodian leaders will engage in an in-depth discussion on strengthening warm relations and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation. They are expected to also exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest. Several bilateral cooperation documents will also be signed during this visit, according to the statement by Ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation.

He will lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and at the Royal Memorial of King Father Norodom Sihanouk.

The State Visit of Marcos Jr. will further strengthen the ties of friendship and solidarity, along with cooperation across all fields between the two nations and peoples, the statement said.
