ADATA Technology Eyes Investment in Cambodia’s Technology Sector
On the morning of 30 April 2025, Samdech Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Mr. CHEN Simon, Chairman of ADATA Technology Co., Ltd., at the Peace Palace.
During the meeting, Mr. CHEN gave a brief overview of ADATA Technology Co., Ltd., describing it as a renowned technology company with over 53 years of experience. The company has five subsidiaries listed on the stock exchanges in Taiwan and Hong Kong and maintains more than 40 representative offices worldwide. ADATA specializes in electronics, robotics, computers, biometrics, and automotive technologies. Mr. CHEN noted that this was his fourth visit to Cambodia and expressed strong interest in investing in the country’s modern technology sector. He also highlighted the company’s desire to strengthen cooperation with Cambodian ministries and institutions, particularly in training and developing human resources in advanced technologies.
In response, Prime Minister HUN Manet welcomed the delegation and the company’s interest in investing in Cambodia. He commended the company’s progress and extensive experience in the technology sector. He emphasized that the Royal Government of Cambodia prioritizes the development of the technology sector, outlining supportive policies and mechanisms already in place to foster investment. These include the Law on Investment of the Kingdom of Cambodia, streamlined procedures, and incentive packages, particularly for investments in supply chains. Samdech Borvor Thipadei also welcomed the company’s intention to cooperate with relevant ministries and institutions in building human capital in the technology sector and encouraged ADATA to continue engaging with relevant ministries and institutions to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia.
