On the afternoon of 4 April 2025, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Mr. Chen Zhong, Vice President of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), accompanied by his colleagues, at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, Mr. Chen Zhong praised Cambodia’s development across all sectors under the wise leadership of Samdech Borvor Thipadei. He particularly noted the Royal Government of the 7th legislature of the National Assembly’s continued prioritization of the infrastructure sector, creating a favorable investment climate in this field. In addition, he thanked the Royal Government for supporting CCCC’s business operations in Cambodia and respectfully informed Samdech Borvor Thipadei about the activities of the company, a leading Chinese engineering firm specializing in infrastructure, transportation, and logistics. Mr. Chen Zhong further added that CRBC (China Road and Bridge Corporation), a subsidiary of CCCC, has operated in Cambodia for over 20 years. During this time, CRBC has created more than 30,000 jobs for Cambodian citizens, constructed over 2,000 kilometers of roads, and contributed to social work, such as building schools and rural roads. He also reported on the excellent cooperation between the company and relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions, pledging CCCC’s continued commitment to boosting infrastructure projects to enhance transportation competitiveness thereby driving national economic growth.

In response, Samdech Borvor Thipadei expressed satisfaction with the progress of the strong cooperation between the company and relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions, and highly appreciated the company’s significant contribution to infrastructure construction in Cambodia. Samdech Borvor Thipadei affirmed the Royal Government’s strong focus on and implementation of mechanisms and necessary plans to support infrastructure development in Cambodia. He emphasized that this sector is important and holds high potential for stimulating national economic growth. Samdech Borvor Thipadei also encouraged the company to continue its strong and close cooperation with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions in promoting infrastructure development in Cambodia.
