On the afternoon of March 25, 2025, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, Commander of Military Region 7 of the Vietnam People’s Army, and his delegation at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang expressed his deep gratitude to Samdech Borvor Thipadei for the opportunity to pay a courtesy call. He provided an update on the fruitful cooperation between the armies of the two countries, particularly between Military Region 7 of the Vietnam People’s Army and the Royal Cambodian Army. He reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening and expanding cooperation between Military Region 7 of the Vietnam People’s Army and the military units under the Royal Cambodian Army Command Headquarters. The Lieutenant General also conveyed his best wishes to the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces on the occasion of the upcoming Khmer New Year.

In response, Samdech Borvor Thipadei highly valued the traditional friendship and relations between the two armies. He emphasized that the tradition of exchanging greetings and best wishes between the armies of the two countries is a meaningful practice. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the good cooperation between the Royal Cambodian Army and Military Region 7 of the Vietnam People’s Army, particularly in the area of training. He also encouraged Military Region 7 of the Vietnam People’s Army to further strengthen its cooperation with the units under Royal Cambodian Army Command Headquarters.
