Newly Appointed Vietnamese Ambassador Commits to Enhancing and Expanding Cambodia-Vietnam Relations

On the afternoon of February 19, 2025, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received His Excellency Nguyen Minh Vu, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Cambodia, for a courtesy meeting at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, Ambassador Nguyen expressed strong interest in the Royal Government of Cambodia’s numerous achievements, including its success in maintaining peace, political stability, and robust development, as well as Cambodia’s growing prestige on the international stage. He conveyed his confidence that, under the leadership of Samdech Borvor Thipadei, Cambodia will continue to achieve even greater progress and prosperity. Regarding bilateral relations, His Excellency Ambassador reaffirmed his strong commitment to further enhancing and expanding cooperation between the two countries across various sectors, including the economy, trade and investment, national defense and security, tourism, education, human resource development, infrastructure connectivity, and people-to-people relations.

In response, Samdech Borvor Thipadei congratulated His Excellency Nguyen on his appointment as Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Cambodia. He highly valued the good neighborliness, traditional bonds of friendship and long-standing ties between the two nations, highlighting their fruitful cooperation across multiple sectors. Samdech BorvorThipadei also appreciated the Ambassador’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and encouraged him to work closely with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions.
