Senate President Hun Sen to visit China to bolster ‘ironclad’ ties

Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen will lead a delegation to China from June 25 to 27 for an official friendship visit.

At the invitation of the Communist Party of China, the Senate President and Cambodian People’s Party President will meet with President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang and National People’s Congress Standing Committee Chairman Zhao Leji.

The delegation includes Supreme Privy Council Member Tea Banh, alongside senior legislative and government officials.

During the trip, Mr Hun Sen will pay respects to King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, who are currently in China.

The visit aims to bolster the “ironclad friendship” between the two nations and advance their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. AKP
