Chairman of Pakistan’s Senate starts four-day official visit to Cambodia.

Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, arrived in Phnom Penh this morning for an official visit to Cambodia until Thursday, at the invitation of Senate President Hun Sen.

According to the Senate Secretariat General, during the visit, Gilani, also Founding Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), and the delegation will be granted a Royal Audience with Cambodia’s King His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni.

He will also hold bilateral talks with Mr Hun Sen, and pay courtesy calls on Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly, and Prime Minister Hun Manet.

Gilani’s official visit will further strengthen the bonds of friendship, bilateral relations, and parliamentary cooperation between Cambodia and Pakistan.

It will also contribute to advancing Cambodia’s parliamentary diplomacy agenda under the wise and visionary leadership of Senate President Hun Sen, in promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development at the regional and global levels through dialogue and international cooperation. AKP
