VIDEO: Thai citizen and Thai soldier assault Cambodian soldier in unproved attack at sacred Ta Mone Thom Temple
Thai soldiers and civilian have perpetrated an unprovoked attack on a Cambodian soldier, further escalating tensions along the Cambodian-Thai border
The incident occurred at around 10 am on July 13, 2025, at Ta Moan Thom Temple in Oddar Meanchey province.
In a video of the incident, a Thai soldier and a Thai civilian can be seen punching a Cambodian soldier – in front of shocked tourists – before running away.
It is reported that the Thais had approached the Cambodian soldier under the guise of shaking hands, before they launched their cowardly attack
After the incident, Cambodian soldiers stationed at the Temple protested and reacted to the Thai army commander, and they responded and brought the perpetrators of this despicable act to apologize to Cambodian soldiers after the tourists left the temple.
