Solidarity March to Demonstrate Unity between the People and Frontline Forces
AKP | Phnom Penh, June 17, 2025 –The Solidarity March scheduled for tomorrow morning in Phnom Penh aims to demonstrate the strong unity between the Cambodian people and the nation’s frontline forces.
The remarks were by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet during the closing ceremony of the Cambodia Scouts’ Extraordinary Congress, held this afternoon at the National Institute of Education.
The Premier emphasised that the event also seeks to show moral support to Cambodian troops stationed at the borders, who are defending the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
According to Samdech Thipadei, the march is expected to draw more than 100,000 participants.
Organised by the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC), the march will begin at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre and conclude at the Independence Monument, where a grand ceremony will be held.
Earlier this afternoon, UYFC, in cooperation with the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration, held a Krong Porli religious ceremony to pray for the success of the Solidarity March.
To ensure a smooth event, authorities have announced temporary road closures along the march route—from Koh Pich to the Independence Monument—starting at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow until the end of the event.
The Phnom Penh municipal authorities have requested public understanding for any traffic disruptions that may occur.
