San Miguel Corporation of the Philippines is Interested in Investing in Cambodia’s Mega Infrastructure Sector

On the evening of 10 February 2025, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Mr. Ramon S. Ang, Chairman and CEO of San Miguel Corporation, during his official visit to Manila, Philippines, from 10-11 February 2025.

During the meeting, Mr. Ramon S. Ang respectfully informed Samdech Borvor Thipadei that San Miguel Corporation is a leading company in physical infrastructure, food and beverage, energy, and oil refining. He highlighted that San Miguel Corporation built and currently operates Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Additionally, Mr. Ang expressed the company’s interest in investing in Cambodia’s mega infrastructure sector by expanding collaborations with relevant companies in the country. He also recognized Cambodia’s strong competitive advantages, including its fertile land, skilled labor force, and favorable geographic location, which enables the country to be well-connected to regional and global markets.

In response, Samdech Borvor Thipadei warmly welcomed San Miguel Corporation’s investment interest in Cambodia and highlighted key strategic sectors for the company’s investment opportunities. He underscored that agriculture is a strategic sector of Cambodia and encouraged the company to explore investment opportunities in the supply chain process linking both regional and global markets. Samdech Borvor Thipadei further added that the Royal Government of Cambodia is committed to supporting, facilitating, and creating a favorable investment environment for the smooth investment process and success of the company.
