AKP | Phnom Penh, June 18, 2025 –Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Hun Many, President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC), said the Cambodian people will rise together as one when the country is in need.

“Today’s gathering sends a message that when the nation is insulted or threatened, the Cambodian people will not remain silent. We will stand together and support the Royal Government and the armed forces in defending sovereignty and territorial integrity, and in protecting our national interests and peace,” he underlined in his address at the Solidarity March held here this morning.

This historic gathering, he added, is also in line with the royal recommendation of His Majesty the late King-Father Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk, “Khmer united, Khmer strong” — a message that continues to serve as a foundation for national protection and development.

Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many expressed his appreciation for the strong turnout despite the short notice, saying, “This large turnout sends a message to the forces stationed at the border that we are here to support them.”

Tens of thousands of Cambodians from all walks of life gathered early this morning at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh for the Solidarity March to express their unity with the Royal Government’s efforts on border resolution and to show moral support for frontline troops.

Organised by the UYFC, the march began at Koh Pich and concluded at the Independence Monument, where a grand ceremony was held, featuring a recorded message from Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet in support of the march, as well as a blessing message read by Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Hun Many in dedication to Her Majesty the Queen-Mother on the occasion of her 89th Birthday (June 18), and nationalism songs to foster a sense of unity and pride among the citizens.
