On August 12, 2020, the European Union’s decision to withdraw 20% of its preferential trade system of Everything but Arms, known as EBA, from Cambodia finally took effect. However, for the Royal Government as well as the general population of Cambodia, this EBA matter is of no surprise and is not so interesting at all. In fact, the EBA topic has already lost its influence in this Covid-19 era. The EBA issue has already become a minor one and is now less interested among the Cambodian people for the following reasons:
