Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia: Chinese tourists ranked No. 1 in visiting Angkor Wat in July 2025
Wang Wenbin, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, said on August 18, 2025, that in the first seven months of 2025, 53,291 Chinese tourists visited Cambodia, an increase of 21%, and China is the largest source of foreign tourists for Angkor Wat.
Via social media, Mr Wang stated “Figures from the Apsara National Authority show that in the first seven months of this year, Cambodia welcomed 53,291 Chinese tourists, an increase of 21% compared to the same period last year.”
He added that in July, China was the largest source of foreign tourists to Angkor Wat, with 5,720 Chinese tourists visiting.
2025 has been designated as the Cambodia-China Tourism Year, and the number of Chinese tourists visiting Cambodia is expected to continue to increase throughout the year.
